I was driving around for about a week w/ my new winter tires, no problem from the TirePressueMonitoringSystem. Suddenly today it has lit up and won't turn off (the TPMS warning signal)... Tried restarting the car, letting it sit for a while, etc....

Any way to manually override the warning light so that it will turn off? Please note that I did not purchase the additional TPMS sensor when buying my tires from tirerack... It would have been like an extra $390.00. In other words, the TPMS should be inactive right now... I have no idea why it turned on.

Other than that small issue, I love the 16" Michelin Alpin PA3's with steelies....!! (maybe even better than my stock 17" alloys..!) These tires are hardcore and I've been very happy w/ the purchase.

thx!

I have the same tires/wheel set up which I bought from Americas Tire. I turned my TPMS light off with black electrical tape...strategically placed over the warning light. Works like a charm.

no not Orlando, need to update my profile.

You taped over the light? lol.... that's one way to do it I suppose. I know there must be another way though, will look forward to hearing any technical way of turning the light off... :/ Good to hear though that my car is not the only one which has run into this issue.

The TPMS is hooked up to the BCM and cannot be shut off unless you have the sensors in. I just deal with the yellow light; I actually use the blinking one minute as a warmup period for my car.
