The tire sensors on all 03+ Infiniti are there to meet federal standard. The tire pressure monitor system actually is connected to a few other systems so removing it will not go without consequence.
When purchasing your wheels and tires either getting another set of sensors from somewhere like IOS or using the ones from your other wheels should be thought about. Having the sensors replaced could end up costing more than 4 sensors and if you get them rotated at the dealer they should reset them. There isn't a large difference when rotating four tires from inside the car with 4 tires on the car. I do that for people all the time with winter wheels.
I never really understood why people are so anti TPMS it saves you from blowing out a tire or damaging the sidewall, at highway speed with underinflated tires. The Ms all display current pressure too, when the light comes on (when the system is working correctly) it's actually pretty useful to get consistent fuel economy, prolong the life of your tires, and ensure your car tracks straight. It only takes about 5psi to cause a drift. Maybe I am out of line with my thinking on this subject but I personally like to know exactly what my car is doing all the time, that's one of the things I really like about the M.
