So my in dash monitor says 35 psi but my fancy 60 dollar digital reader says 37. Why would there be a difference? I am running iforged tpms adapters on my Volk GTC. Would the adapters cause a difference? I am inclined to believe that my fancy reader is more accurate. I tested this about 5 times now

By the way, what psi are the guys w 20s running with?

Thanks!

I run 35 too as for the tire pressure reading differently idk what to tell you. What about a cheap 2 dollar reader, what does that say?

I have a fancy dancy reader that is industrial grade for reading pressure. I also have a low quality one too. I checked them both out at the same time and place. The two did not vary by more than 1lbs per square inch. My TPMS was also within the same specs. As one poster stated, I try to run my PSI between 34-35 PSI.

Unless you are running your car in a race mode, all bets are off. The PSI in true race modes need to be adjusted as you see fit to do so depending on many factors. A PSI of a 1lb here or there really makes no difference if you are running the car in a somewhat normal driving fashion.

Are you running 20s with 30 profile tires? Are you running tpms adapters? Factory 19s should be at 34 Psi. I am only interested in the psi set by those running 20"

I just have a odd feeling my iforged adapters are screwing up the reading.

i am running 20" wheels with the tpms sensors installed from tire rack.... mine read 35 35 36 35! why the 36 idk but i checked it against the tire gauge i have and they all read the same...i would not worry about 1-2 psi difference between the cars computer and a tire gauge...my car runs fine...

So whats the big deal? A few PSI off one way or another does not make one hoot of a difference. If you are racing the car, it can make a ton of difference. My op you do not understand PSI and are wasting all us NICO guys time in responding. Go read and get educated on tire PSI. The rims and tire size has nothing to with your posting. Forget all that stuff. Sorry to be somewhat rude, but you keep asking the same question over and over again. Do what you want, we can explain the difference in PSI if you are street racing or track racing. As of now I hate to say you are boring me. Over and out on your post for me.

I never asked you directly to respond. You are simply wasting your own time responding to this. The only reason why I asked was due to the fact that my gauge was never off compared to the tpms. This is the first time I decided to read the psi directly and was surprised to find it being off and this was the first time I read the psi with my new rims. It also does help that I drive this car only 2k miles a year so I haven't been paying much attention.

In any event, thanks for being an a** unnecessarily and half assedly trying to answer my question. I was really looking for someone that is using iforged tpms adapter to step in here. I should've been clear. Plus, I disregarded your pointless comment about racing. I am only interested in protecting my rims from damage

Mods, please close thread. This thread has been compromised by a hostile poster

I am sorry I offended you and I apologize. I was only trying to help. I am not a hostile poster. I did not really understand your question and will stand down and let others who might try to help you out.
