Does anyone know what brand of TPMS is needed and what the reset procedure is? Is it that same as the one found on myg37.com? (which works btw)

My recommendation is to find OEM ones on eBay...as for reset, it's usually like $20 (sometimes even free depending on your relationship with the shop) at the dealer or private tire places with proper scan tool. Otherwise, if they are thrown off the pressure usually driving for 10 minutes at 50mph will reset them (say if you rotated the tires).

I purchased a set of OEM sensors on eBay for $65 shipped when I got my new wheels. Just make sure you get the correct part#''s. I purchased 40700-1LA0C. 40700-1LA0A thru E should work fine based on the part interchange numbers.

I accidentally damaged one of mine and ran to the local auto parts store to get another one. It was a VDO REDI-Sensor Part # SE10003 @ $50 . Get them online.

For programming new sensors, tire shops usually have all the required equipment. At the least a TPMS reset tool is needed (OEM is OTC-J-45295). If you/they also have a capable scan tool it is even easier. There are manual procedures for registering existing sensor positions but these do not work on new-to-the-car sensors.

Thanks. I looked at Rock Auto, and they were around $30 each. Ebay had it for around $15 eac, but I think they're used. I would rather get new ones if I can find them. Can the car have 2 sets of TPMS stored or will i have to do the reset procedure each time? (either DIY or dealer, but I'd rather avoid the cost obviously)

Not all shops can do it, even the ones that normally work on TPMS. Sears was unable to, I went to a mom and pop shop (which is actually quite nice and has like 2 locations) and they were able too.

The car can only have one set registered to it at a time.

Yeah, I thought so. I'll get the OEM ones and try the manual way linked above first. I'm assuming it should work...won't find out til next spring though lol. Thanks fellas!

I have a set of cloned tpms sensors which essentially copies the ID from the original sensors.

When I swap wheels no further reset is necessary. Prehaps you can ask your local tire shop to see if they have cloneable sensors available
