Well Heres the situation. I have replaced my rims and tires and i had the guy switch over the tpms sensors. the light never came on until yesterday/ Now i was working on my car yesterday and i got this problem.
I was replacing my positive battery teminal to clean it up a bit. Now when i hooked my battery back up it seemed to be dead. i got a jump start and then the car wouldnt shut off. after that i disconnected the negative and reconnected it.car worked fine after that but now my stupid tpms light keeps coming on. it blinks for about a minute the stays solid. what is the issue. i checked the tire pressure and it is at 43 for every tire.

this ones kinda easy.... they didnt swap ur tpms sensors

reasons i can tell:
every 20 or so minutes, the car sends out a request for ur tpms sensors signal, if it doesnt add up, the light on the dash goes on

you dont need to recalibrate your old sensors, if you swap em in a wheel set, they WILL work

if you get a second set (say the place u did this put new sensors in for you) you WILL need to get a obdII sensor and calibrate through consult (basically take it to a tire shop or dealership and tell em u need ur tpms light off on ur dash)

if you use 2 different sets of sensors, your car will only calibrate to ONE, so if you opt to make your summer tires the ones to match too, ur winters/stocks will light ur dash up.

IMHO- live with the light. its not a biggie. u know enough to realize ur tires are in pristine condition.

if they charged you for the tpms swap w/o a calibration tho- i'd complain (only if they put new sensors in, which if your old tires werent pulled apart, then you didnt get the sensors, they are the entire valve stem and a little yellow box angled on the inside of the wheel)

hope this helps bud

Thanks but I've been driving for two weeks with these tires and the light yet to come on. I know that the guy who installed the tires swapped the sensors I watched him do it. Is there any other reccomdations. Could anything got messed up from disconeccting the batt

My guess...you wiped the calibration somehow when disconnecting the battery...this is however, only a guess.

+1 on riding with the light on, thats what I do.
