I've been thinking of doing something like that; probably 3/4 of the time in my 6 years of owning this car the TPMS light has been on while having proper inflation in all tires. You've also answered a question I've had; the light is a soldered in LED and not a bulb?boystar22 wrote:One of my sensors went bad and the dealer wanted almost $400 to replace it. Glad to have mine permanently disabled.
Correct. It is an LED soldered to the board. Since it's directional covering it with the tape under the gauge face is sufficient since there isn't is light bleeding around the edges of the indicator.BamaCoupe wrote:I've been thinking of doing something like that; probably 3/4 of the time in my 6 years of owning this car the TPMS light has been on while having proper inflation in all tires.
