I just replaced a tire the other day, and a few nights ago i was on a run with some of the GTRs and 350Zs and my tire light started flashing, then it went solid. Then as i drove some more, the light turned off. it has done this a few times since then if im on the highway for a long time. But it doesnt seem to be losing air. all tires have 40psi in them. Any ideas as to the problem?

I have been having this problem since this last winter. TPMS light comes on an blinks for about 30 times then turns solid then goes off. It has always come on after about 20 minutes of driving with about 10-15 of this time at about 60 mph. It started when the weather was cold/cool and seemed to be cold related but would also occur when temps in the 40's. I had it happen the other day when it was in the 60's. The funny thing is it always happens in the mornings. It has never happened in the afternoon and always after sitting overnight. Dealer says"I dunno", could not duplicate. Any body with any ideas please share them. I only have 1500 miles(3 weeks for my driving pattern) till I hit 36,000 miles and no warranty.

what elevations are you both at? I ask because the sensors read a touch different at different elevations in comparison to what a tire gauge reads. A tire at 33 psi at sea level would read roughly the same as a tire at 40psi at 5,000 ft above sea level. There was a TSB out about a year ago detailing it. Not sure if this is any help, but it's maybe some.

Yeah, also they accept a lot of interference. For example, the TPMS light in my friend's 08 sedan blinks at a certain point every morning on the same hwy to work. There is a power center or something there. The interference sets it off every day. He's tested it many times and can recreate it in the same spot each morning. Driving other ways to work doesn't cause it. lol. Weird.

Depending on where you live humidity could have something to do with it as well as temperature, cooler temps causing the air to condense and give the sensor a false inflation level???? I personally use nitrogen in my tires, it does away with the chance to get condensation in the tires, but I also live in a pretty dry and stable climate (Las Vegas) so I don't have to deal with humidity and condensation issues.

To my understanding when it comes on just solid without flashing its the actual tire pressure. When it comes on flashing for a minute then stays solid for a minute +, its another issue. Other issues can be a series of things, in which im not familiar with.

I will however say to Idok if you are comming up on 36000 miles, on a 2007 it could be something as simple as the TPMS units in each wheel need new batteries in them. Regaurdless the dealership should be able to trioubleshoot and fix. Why they are telling you they dont know is beyond me.

I just realized this post was made in July, hopefully all of those with this problem in this thread have gotten them fixed by now!

Problems are still occuring. But I'm not running the TPMS in my current wheels, so the light can stay on all day long. But when i'm running my 20s with the sensor, i hate seeing that stupid light
