My TPMS light came on the other day so considering it was around 5 degrees out I checked/filled all the tires. They were all at 32 psi and I drove around for two days and the TPMS light stayed on. In the manual it states that if the light blinks continuosly and then stays on its a Malfunction.....well that's exactly what my light is doing and I even checked the tires 2 days later and they were still good on air...I will take it in Monday to get looked at but wondering if anyone else had the "Malfunction" problem?

Also, I plan on getting some new rims for the summer and keeping my stockers for winter use. I dont really want to spend all the $$$ for new TPMS in summer wheels and can deal with the lioght being on and I read a lot of people do just that. Im assuming no problems come from not putting the sensors in another set of wheels? Also, when I go to put my stockers with the sensors back on in winter will the light go back out?
Thanks

I had a problem with my light staying on for several days at a time this past fall. I kept checking the pressure after driving the car and being annoyed by the light and it was always at 32psi, but I waited till the tires were cold and hadn't been driven for several hours and rechecked and they were around 27psi. I had simply forgot that they would read different sitting vs being driven on. Just a thought.

When I purchased my wheels, I took the sensors out of my stock steelies and they fit just fine, and have worked without any problem (aside from the above which was normal fluctuation going from summer to fall, and my own stupidity for checking them warm).

I've checked them cold and after driving around all day...twice on different days and they still said between 32-35 psi..I even let a little out to put them all at roughly 32psi... But the light doesn't just come on. It blinks for a minute then stays on.

Could be just a bad sensor. Nissan can run a test and determine which one is bad.
