So like the title says, the TPMS light in my '04 will not turn off. It's a solid light, no blinking. Up until a couple weeks ago, I could fill the tires to 35 PSI hot, drive for about 1 km or so and it'd turn off automatically.

Is there a way for me to reset this on my own?

do you have a sensor in your spare?

only way that i've been able to reset systems on Nissans is to use an OTC tool (which isn't always successful) or the newer tool called the Bartec.

direct sensors monitor all wheels with sensors. not sure if the older sensors were any different, but any and all vehicles that have 5 sensors, air has to be checked in all. several times over it has been the spare that needed air in the vehicles i've worked on with 5 sensors.

you may be thinking of indirect sensors that operate off of the ABS and speed sensors where the TPMS can only monitor four at a time. if it's a direct system, the sensors send info to the brain constantly.
