Is it possible to put a early 90's rear end in a 1990 240sx? has drum brakes but my friend has one laying around and said it would likely fit a nonlsd 240 i might purchase, is that possible? or is more information needed?-Thanks

Well the Toyota trucks use a live axle and the 240 has IRS, so it certainly is not a bolt-on operation. For all practical purposes, it won't work.

hay I read somewhere that in Canada 240sx comes with VLSD standard. I am in Canada and I just my 1990 240sx like a month ago. It has about 160,xxx miles on the transmission and differential. So I think even if my car does have VLSD it will never lock because I it's so old and needs to be drained and refilled??? can anyone confirm that?

LSDs use a different fluid from the gear oil that is in the differential housing, and unfortunately you can't change that fluid.

well I have never checked if my differential will lock or not when I spin my tires... but I'll try to find out. Once I do I'll be sure to post here, it will be awesome if it will lock being as old as it is.
