towing question

I've got a 93 hardbody 2wd, 2.4cyl automatic with overdrive, and I'm trying to figure out what the towing capacity for this truck is as I plan on building a camp trailer to pull it with. Any information would and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I don't think you will want to tow too much before installing a transmission cooler. How heavy would you say the camper trailer is?

I wouldn't do much of towing unless you install a transmission cooler as Rev said.

I'd say between 2000 and 2500lbs

According to my Nissan Towing Guide manual the 2wd 2.4l Auto is rated at 2000lb max trailer weight, 200lb max tongue weight and 5500lb gross combined weight.

i decided to use this old thread:

i have a 1993 v-6 4x4 manual hardbody, wondering what the safe tow weight is.

i want to tow a 5x8 enclosed trailer, which tends to rate at 3000 gross, 900 trailer and 2100 contents.

i have had a difficult time finding this info on the web or finding a nissan towing guide manual applicable to my truck. thanks.
