:yesnod

I was leaving this alone until someone else jumped in. The tow hook will only fit if your 08 Altima is RWD and pushing 350+ HP...

Nobody knows the answer so maybe you should just try it! Let us know if it works and put up some pics.

I'm in for that! Just let me know when. I think I could go for one. I drove past the park inn last week and wished it was may again soon.

Now onto OP to answer your question. We are talking about the screw in type tow hook, correct? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 0840194252 does the car come with a non flashy one in the spare tire / roadside kit. The fit will depend upon thread type and bolt size. Places like lowes and autozone have a board where you can screw :naughty: bolts into holes to find out size/thread. Our Saab has one for emergencies in the kit not sure if the AC has one but it would be the easiest way to find out. I keep it on my wife's 9-3 in case she ever goes into an Uncontrollable slide in grocery store parking lot and needs to be drug back onto the pavement. :)

I'm actually interested in it, too.

If a 350Z, 370Z, or GTR tow hook will fit and clear our bumpers properly, I want to get one of these: http://www.rhoplate.com/Products-Nissan.html

I'd like my car to be as far away from interesting to a cop as possible.

If anybody looked at the link I posted we already know that it "fits". Based on the location of the bumper mount the GTR tow hook/plate bracket would appear to be the way to go.

Apparently the sizes have changed over the years so not all Z/G hooks will work..

Is there something I'm missing....you're getting a tow hook to turn your altima into a honda?

...wow... :inout:

I think this thread may have been salvaged and turned into something useful (even though its been discussed before) for people with coupes that didn't come with the tow hook or people wanting to use it as a front license plate bracket. So yeah.. you did miss something. :)

No front plates ftw! I like the idea of the tow hook and I even made a thread about it. But I think it's best to leave the bumper with nothing on it, looks cleaner.

Tow hook= JDM, Yo!
While they do carry SOME added convenience, i personally wouldn't want it attached to my car at all times.
Good tool to have if your car didnt come with one to begin with, but it would belong stashed away with your wheel locks until needed.
