Was installing a trailer light wiring harness (Nissan part 999T8 GU000) on my 08 Rogue this weekend when I hit a wall. Page 16 of the install guide (10A Critical Installation Area section - number 6.) talks about a 2-pin connector that is pre-installed and taped to/possibly connected into what I believe, is a 12V line going straight up to the battery, but maybe that little branch is its own line. I don't know, I just know I don't have this 2-pin connector. I've got the converter and everything else installed besides this 2-pin connector. With everything else in place, the Rogue has turn signals and brakes but when I put a tester on the 4-pin for where the trailer would connect outside I'm not getting lights so going to have to figure out how to get power to this 2-pin connector eh?

There is a note on the cover of the instructions:

Note: Tow Harness application is limited to specific vehicle option packages that include tow harness pre-wiring. Consult the Nissan Accessory Application Chart at your Nissan Dealer to determine applicability to a specific vehicle.

Assuming that by "tow harness pre-wiring" they are referring to how I don't have the 2-pin preinstalled. Fine. How do I install one NOW? Dealer wasn't helpful when I called, not sure why they sold me this kit a few years back if it WASN'T going to work on my vehicle.

Any ideas?

Power is provided through that 2 pin connector so if you don't have it plugged in, then you have no power basically. I believe the last few pages of the instructions shows the schematic, so you can understand what you're missing to make it work.

Yeah I figured it was power but there is no pre-installed two-pin power coupling to plug into as the manual shows. I'm going to have to either splice into a line that I have no idea what it is or figure out what the pre-installed line was so that I duplicate what the factory would have done, but don't know why it wasn't done to my vehicle.
