Tow Bar/Hitch Bolts WHAT SIZE (6)

Well its summer and I go to put on my hitch again (unbolted last year) and I lost the freakin bolts that hold the thing on. Im sure its gonna be some stupid size I cant find locally lol, need confirmation on size n pitch, I just know there BIG, and probly wont be cheap

How much are they from the dealership? Watch what you say or the mods will be all over your butt.

I would go through my loose nuts and bolts bin and find the right size then go buy some grade 8 bolts. The last set of grade 8 bolts I bought ran about $2 a piece. Maybe the dealer can tell you what size you need and even give you a price.

LOL wow this is the first time ive seen any kind of dissing on this forum. The other forum im on (howardforums) they are pricks about every thing you say and even where you post stuff...i hate those forums but where else can i talk about cell phones!!

anyways, yeah its always worth a shot with the dealer, youll be surprised sometimes. Last week i was in the ford shop where my buddy works and needed a brake light bulb as mine was out, since i was there and he was doing my plugs i might as well change it, only cost me $2!!! (sarcasm)

LOL @ 02Pathy, dont take it personally, i dont think WOT meant to offend you, hes just sayin he'd rather have a person lick the wonder cheese from under his nuts rather than go to the dealer, last time i bought bolts at the dealer (Lower control arm bolts) i spent almost $50 for 4 bolts!!!

Maybe a trailer hitch shop can help you out.... the trailer supply i go to has pathfinder hitches and bolts in stock, im sure they can open up a package to check the bolts for you if you ask nicely! Did I say I didnt call the dealership first? Cause I did, and BOTH of them that I called, were unable to locate a specific pitch/size nor had any hitch kits in stock, and in order to get one, I had to buy the entire kit (2 hundred something) so I opted not to do that.

I even went to crappy tire and ofcourse they done carry metric bolts above M10's, home depot practically doesnt even stock metric, probly just gonna hit up Fastenal next time I go to toronto

I think it says M12-1.25 x 35mm Hex Bolt. It says to torque all fasteners to 68 ft-lbs.

8 of them plus washers.

Ya installed it today, had to pay 2 bucks a bolt since fastenal is the only place that carries them around here
