Wow... that's complete crap.
It is a plastic casing and plastic turbine fins. Once they get spinning real fast they tend to break off and get sucked into the throttlebody. From there I think you can imagine the damage this POS can do. This is slightly different than the ones I've seen before, but I believe its original purpose is a bilge exhaust fan on larger boats.
It can create boost (most likely less than 1psi) but until it reaches it's full speed, it is causing more air-flow resistance. Also, at full throttle, I'm willing to bet that is can't keep up with the air-flow need of the engine... robbing you of power instead of creating power. Plus it's not just like a turbo or supercharger that is spinning all the time creating boost as you go and increasing pressure as the RPMs increase. This thing is electric with one speed setting... so you've got to turn it on as you need it, and when it's not on it is restricting air-flow.
Totally useless junk in my humble opinion.
