Ok.. I am 100% sure that this does not work anywhere as well as a real supercharger or turbo.. BUT.. has anyone ever seen one of these in action.. does it give ANY gain or is it just a complete scam??? Just incase you dont feel like going to the link.. It looks like a heavy output fan that replaces your airbox. It has a cone filter attached and just blows air into your intake.

I have never heard anything good about these types of superchargers, nor have I seen any good gains in performance from them. They put a high load on your electrical system too. Why not just hook up a hair dryer to your car?

Completely stupid, useless, and worthless. And I HIGHLY doubt that if you are stock with HICAS you can outhandle a corvette. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Just a fact, not trying to be a jerk. Acknowledgement leads to realization, just trying to keep things real around here.

Wire up a leaf blower while your at it. Forced induction only works if the air is compressed, not just kinda blown in a little bit.

Wow... that's complete crap.

It is a plastic casing and plastic turbine fins. Once they get spinning real fast they tend to break off and get sucked into the throttlebody. From there I think you can imagine the damage this POS can do. This is slightly different than the ones I've seen before, but I believe its original purpose is a bilge exhaust fan on larger boats.

It can create boost (most likely less than 1psi) but until it reaches it's full speed, it is causing more air-flow resistance. Also, at full throttle, I'm willing to bet that is can't keep up with the air-flow need of the engine... robbing you of power instead of creating power. Plus it's not just like a turbo or supercharger that is spinning all the time creating boost as you go and increasing pressure as the RPMs increase. This thing is electric with one speed setting... so you've got to turn it on as you need it, and when it's not on it is restricting air-flow.

Totally useless junk in my humble opinion.

And if it improves peak hp by any amount.. what have you proven? You still have to turn it off and on when you want to boost... and the rest of the time you're restricting airflow. Not to mention running the risk of the thing falling apart and eating up engine internals. Anyone who is foolish enough to buy it and think they've got a cheap alternative to a real turbo... deserves exactly what they get....
