Nissan 240sx Factory Service Manuel. It usually has everything you need. My experience is that it doesnt have EVERY single one, ive usually cross referenced it with a 1998 manuel. But for the most part it should have it.

As far as head work goes, it depends on what you want from the motor? Big power? For my head work i had the head redecked, a complete port/polish, 3 angle valve job. As far as machining. For parts i have JWT valve springs/retainers, and cams, and timing sprockets. Thats for my turbo motor.

You could port match the intake manifold to the motor and the exhaust manifold. IMO it wouldnt be necessary for most applications.~sam

As stated above, it really depends on the power you wanna make. The KA already has pretty decent flow qualities and the torque is made from about 2800 up to around 5800.

Many people get 300+ whp and never touch the head.

I got the 318 piece craftsman set and the 3 torque wrenches they sell...

I have only had to get a few special items like an 02 socket.

rebuilding a motor isnt exactly the best first project, enlist the help of some1 that knows and watch them. Do some of you own stuff on the chasis and wahtnot but the tolerences and tourque specs and whatnot on a motor are so high if even the smallest detail is left out ti could be catastrophic.

Good luck and enjoy the project no matter what!~Sam
