"We were promised a lot in the past in terms of great new products coming in the future," Gunderson says. "Infiniti told us today that we can't really focus on 2020 and beyond -- that we are going to focus on working with what we have today and on the product plan through 2017."

After JDN left to join Cadillac, Infiniti backpedaled from a bunch of hot concepts and big plans. Looks like showrooms are going to be stale and dry for a while.

To make up for it, Infiniti is ramping up its used certification program.

Yay?

How does that board meeting go?
"Well, Johan left... what should we do with all these new models?"
"Table 'em. We'll keep selling the same stuff for a few more years til we figure something else out".

I don't get it... its not like those products were his to take with him...

I envision something more akin to:
"Thank GOD that guy is finally gone! I'm sick of having to actually think, work hard, and try to succeed every day just to get a paycheck!"
"Yeah, no s***. Now let's see what new bodywork we can cram on the V36 platform and sell for 10 more years!"
