Tough decision on rims...

Hey everyone, I just bought a new 2006 G35 Coupe, black on black, and I was looking into buying some rims for the car. I'm really stuck on which kind to choose, many of them look really good on the car. Would anyone be able to help me decide by either showing me some pics of their "pimped" out g35s or just a specific example of a kind of style which looks good.

Grats on your new G and I love that picture. My G is a week old and I'm getting new wheels on her this weekend but from what I've read the style I've chosen isn't very popular so I'm probably not the best person to answer (but I will anyhow lol).

What I did was browse all the G forums I could find looking for pictures then I went to several local shops to look at wheels in person. After that I spent probably 5-6 hours browsing various websites looking at wheels. I kept coming back to a specific Foose wheel so went with it even though a lot of folks state that Foose wheels are for American muscle cars and not imports. Oops - o'well, its the one I liked the best so I'm gonna be different it looks like.

Good luck choosing though, there are so many choices - not just style but color even. Hopefully one of the pros here can help you narrow down your choices.

Always been a fan personally of gun metal black rims on the black cars, chrome on all other colors.Would look sharp with 19s or 20s.Whatever you get, you'll enjoy. Can't make a bad decision with this car.

Im a new G35 owner as well but im thinking of getting anything thats is black witha polished lip and that has about a 2.5 inch lip on it i think its the best look for the car, my car is DG but on a black G it looks amazing.

i have 20inch Chrome Stern st-2 rims wrapped in some nice nittos. They are 8.5 by 9.5 and im telling you are some of the nicest rims you'll ever see on a g in my opinion i may be parting my car back to stock so if i decide to put them up for sale ill let yah know!

I think off set wheels make a huge improvement in looks. You can't rotate them but it is worth the look. Look at the picture of my G35 and even if you don't like the Volk wheel you have to agree the look is made by the wheels.

Have fun, the wheel purchase is the funnest of all purchases.

I recently picked up my new '06 coupe, and I was in the same dilemma. For now, I decided on a set of Tenzo R GF7s. 19x8 front, 19x10 rear, with a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires. I've also installed a Tein Mono Flex coilover system.





I'd really like to pick up a set of Volk GT-C wheels, though...

Personally in my opinion I have to say I like the look of the rims that are currently on your car the best out of the others on this thread...just my two cents though.
