Anyone know if the Nissan Touch up paint from the dealer is any good? I have a frost altima and got a little scratch on my side mirror.

well depends on how big the scratch is.

it'll be okay to hide the scratch from far.

you should check online to see if they are cheaper also.

automotivetouchup.comor paintscratch.com

i bought from automotivetouchup and it was good

let me suggest DR Colorchip (http://www.drcolorchip.com/index.php)

I have used this on my black Altima and by far it is the best touch up ever. There are no blobs of paint like you get with regular touch up.

I bought some paint from the local dealer... it was like $8 for .5 oz. I didnt think it was that bad. Has a roller and brush

i just saw it an article in car & driver, i was thinking about getting it. how well does it cover up rock chips snd stuff like that cause my front bumper and hood have taken a good beating from me taking the LIE all the time, now i just take northern state and southern state and its been better

it works great. I took the bottle, poured the paint on a microfiber towel and wiped it across my entire front hood. It filled in all the dozens of small rock chips I have.It also lasts a long time-been through car washes and waxed the car and it does not come off. This stuff is excellent. Its not cheap but well worth it

i think im going to order it in the spring once i redo my leds and stuff. i dont know how it would do in the cold.

when you said you pore it on a microfiber towel and wipe across your entire hood, is that ok to do, like wouldnt there be paint all over the place, or is that how your supposed to do it

the instructions they send are excellent. You can use it to fill in a spot or use it to cover up road rash.

Basically, you fill in a spot or smear it across several areas then use their cleaning fluid (included) to wipe up any areas that you dont want the paint on. It only sticks to the areas that have chips, etc.

Its hard to explain but works perfectly-the website has photos
