Well I hate to say that 11 bucks isnt too bad for the paint but you could go to a paint shop as well.

Hardly seems worth the aggrevation and waste of time driving around town looking for paint that MAY match just to potentially save a couple dollars at most when you can just get the exact match at your local Infiniti dealer.....a false economy at best.

You should just call Joe with your paint code.

One of those things I have him throw in when I place an order for parts.

How accurate is the touch up paint? Does it come in an adjustable spray bottle? And can you wet sand after dry and clear coat on your on with just the touch up? I have the Pearl White. But I have noticed its not like the Pearl White used these days.

Its not going to be that accurate because over the years the paint becomes lighter due to the sun so there is extra work involved to make it barly noticeable.

But you can just loeave it on there and plan to wet sand it down like i do at least then there is no exposed metal though.

Priscilla- What's your paint code? Find it on the metal placard on the DS firewall. If your paint also happens to be a Nissan color....I got a tube of touchup paint at the Nissan stealership for about 1/2 the cost of the same bottle at the Infiniti stealership.

It's not cost effective to order from Joe for only the paint. If you need to drive more than 10 miles to town to get it (Turner Nissan? Unless you're there for some other reason) your fuel cost wil be more than the shipping would have been. With that said take a look at Paintscratch.com and see what their prices and shipping costs are.

Just a FYI... A local retailer has Nissan touch up paint color: K23 (silver) for $2. So if anyone is looking for some I can get it for you guys.

From what Ive seen, for rock chips, you just fill them in with the touch up paint. let it dry. wet sand very lightly until its even with the rest of the paint. Carefull not to go through the clearcoat and then buff the area with some polishing compound. And then just add wax or sealant or whatever.

Just get the touchup paint from the dealership...it's cheap and provides an exact color match.

I got a two-stage touch up kit from the stealer. Not cheap.NOt a spray, but two stage paint tubes color/clearcoat. Maybe Nissan has it cheaper. It was a very popular color.(mine is as well.)

Wasn't woth driving around at today's gas prices to shop.
