Totally off topic.... Escort Solo S2 hardwire question

Okay, totally off topic

i got my Escort Solo S2 hardwired last week and I noticed that I still have to manually hit the power to turn it on. It will shut off when i shut down my car but it won't auto power on.

any of you out there with SOLO S2 hardwired, is this normal? talked to the audio shop and they said it's normal for some radar detectors to require hitting power to startup.

is there a setting i can change? just looking for answer.
