I was the passenger in this one, My friend was driving we were up in the mountains not driving fast maybe about 40mph we were driving up to this lookout point on a road somewhat close to us just to go up there and relax.

We were driving and there is one turn that gets sharper at the end we were going through it at around 35-40mph the road might have been wet or there could have been dirt on the road the front wheels lost traction and he braked to slow down we started to slow down while pointing towards the edge of the road, ( we were taking a right turn and the front wheels understeered towards the left side of the road which was also the edge) so i thought we were going to stop in time but it kept sliding slowly then it went off the edge and tipped over.

The car rolled drivers side first then slammed upside down on the passenger side and continued rolling over and rested with the drivers side frame rail against a tree. We both luckily managed to crawl out of the car but it was just us up there by ourselves in his car. Luckily we got up to the road and flagged some cars that were driving by which ended up being friends of ours (go figure) we got very lucky they were there, they waited with us for the tow truck and took me to the hospital which i ended up having a concussion, and my neck and upper and lower back are all sprained. The driver was completely fine and barely was sore at all lol.

I need physical therapy twice a week for the next month at least and i hope everything will stop hurting but basically glad to be alive and were already almost done building another car, using parts from the last one since everything but the body was fine.

Before you flame or say anything stupid we werent doing anything reckless so keep that in mind... we do go to the track and we do care about others thanks

Yikes. Glad that you and your buddy are okay.

Sounds like your buddies decision to hit the brakes sent you over the cliff.

Yeah i never really thought about flipping in any 240 just because they are low (not with stock suspension lol) but going off the edge of the road definitely changed that. I WILL for sure be putting a cage no matter what.

Yeah i would not push a stock 240 lol it just dosnt feel right, Anyways this car had Tein coils on it and a full Poly bushing kit, it was for sure setup right but the compound on the front tires mixed with the road surface possibly being wet or dirty definitely overtook the nice suspension setup.

Not having a cage to begin with is probably the only reason u came out of it with anything less than a concussion.(Having a cage without using a helmet at ALL times is a bad idea)

Its good to here u guys made it out ok, thats one reason im iffy about taking my car up to the mountains, might be too tempting and I might end up in the same way if not worse.
