Hi all,

I've been a reader of this forum, not a poster for the last 3 or 4 years but thought I should tell about my car. I live in NJ and we had our first snow today, had to work, was running late and going way too fast...you can see where this is going...I lost control and smacked into 2 concrete "jersey" barriers. I hit really hard into the one in the left lane and then spun around and hit the other one in the right lane shoulder and came to rest facing the correct direction. God was with me this morning on rt. 287, as no one hit into me as I was doing the 360 across 3 lanes of traffic. I was not hurt at all.

I have owned the car for 5 years and enjoyed every minute of ownership. What a car! BTW, although the car is totaled, it didn't stall after the impact and I was able to drive it about a mile to the nearest off ramp to change a tire. I could have driven it home but it was losing anti-freeze. Anyway, if anyone needs parts, make me an offer, one catch, you have to come and take them off and pu. I've restored muscle cars from the ground up, but I'm too busy to part this thing out. If no one is interested, I'll send it to the crusher. I'll be shopping for another Q around Christmas. My car is IPQ w/ tan interior (seats are worn badly), 185K, new brakes, front suspension.

Kevin

How bad is the damage? Is it even worth trying to repair or just good for parts?

Glad it saved your life.

Good luck on finding its replacement. Check back soon.

It's bad, bad enough where it would cost thousands of dollars to repair and I'd rather use that money and look for a 94-96 Q.

Hi Kevin, Sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you weren't hurt.

The weather is starting to get bad around here. I hope people start taking it easy. Being late is something most people can deal with. Death is a little more difficult.

Parting out a car is very tedious.

Glad to hear you're okay, sorry for your loss.

I understand the 94-96 (keep in mind 96's are OBD2), but there are a few 90-93's for sale in the Infiniti Classifieds.

Check 'em out. I'm going to guess you want one with TCS and maybe heated seats .

kevin really sorry to hear you wrecking your 92......

A moment of silence, and a 21 redline salute for the deceased...

You should at least pull the easy stuff before you send it to the crusher, like MAF sensor, ECU, and a few other things like that..... you could do all the easy stuff in like an hour.

Glad to hear that it protected you in it's final moments... That's one of the weird things I remember after totaling my 91 Maxima. (Don't feel like we need to have something in common Jesda) In spite of everything I felt really secure while I was spinning down the interstate. These cars are built like a brick.

I agree with Wes. You should be able to get $300 for a working MAF and Throttle body on eBay. FPCU is another $50. Working bose amps and climate controller more... it's defintaely worth a couple of hours in the garage.

G 50, for some reason I think you've got a 94, and thus these injectors wouldn't work. Sorry, if I'm wrong about what year Q you have .

If your going to be parting out your Q, Jebs... please post up in the classifieds forum..... We'd all love to vulture off the deceased..... Morbid? Yes. True? Yes.

I take pride in knowing that when my old Q died, its soul is all over the country in other cars.

Watch out for the q45 in Staten Island. Which one is it ? I remember a bad one someone was trying unload. It needed a lot of work including a windshield.
