When pulling the KA, I attached the engine lift chains to the intake and exhaust manifolds. I was just wondering with the added weight on the SR's exhaust manifold, if there was something better to lift the motor by?

You can still lift ala manafolds. you could also lift through the mount brackets and wrap around the manifolds so it's those brackets that hold the engine up while the manifolds hold it steady.
