i am hearing this weid noise from the front of my car when i turn left only,so i took my car to my mechanic and he told me it was my driverside torsion rod (not too sure of the spelling), just curious if anyone knows if they're expensive? and if its worth to go to a scrapyard, or should i but it new?thanks

he's probably talking about the tension control rod. more comonly called a TC rod. I picked a new one up from Nissan for 60 USD. That was the rod and bushing. Typically, on old S13s, the bushing in the TC rod will go bad and crack. It's filled with silicon and will leak all over the place. Nismo makes a hard rubber bushing that's a direct press in for the old stock bushing. Dealership sold them to me for 35 a piece.

If you go the route of getting the Nismo bushings, you'll have to have them pressed in by someone with a hydrolic press.

If you go to the junkyard, you're more than likely going to find a bunch of ruptured TC bushings. They go bad easily
