I'm new to NICO and I thought this would be a good opening thread.......a question in need of answering. haha

It's dumb, but it could be important.

-Can you torque down the head WITHOUT the cams installed?

Can or will this cause issues with the head flexing during the tightening?

I'm used to SR's which you have to install it without the cams.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

-Thanks

You can tighten the head with or without the cams installed, it doesn't matter.

Thank you very much!!

It took only hours to get my answer here when I waited for days on other forums, and with no answer from them. NICO FTW!!

AFAIK, the FSM doesn't dictate either way. I've done it both ways and never had an issue.
