Hey all, just wondering if there is a list/document anywhere that shows what the torque specs are for all the different nuts and bolts on the 320? I managed to find something that lists some 620 values but nothing for the 320 or 520/521. I was interested mainly in the engine, tranny, suspension, and brakes. Thanks!

There is/was a CD with a ton of great 320 reference material available from Alan Bent in Australia. His website says he is sold out but may be able to track one down. If I were you I would shoot him an email. I have his CD and it is really useful.

deerio,

See the Datsun 320 Manual v2 for torque specs. Page 24 list the head specs with a schematic. However, you will have to read through manual for other torque specs as there is no schematic or torque sequence.

Here are the torque specs from a MGA / 3 bearing early MGB -

Flywheel to crankshaft bolts @ 35-40 lb-ft.
Cylinder Head @ 50 lb-ft
Rocker Pedestal bolts 5/16" @ 25 lb-ft
Connecting rods @ 25 lb-ft
Gudgeon Pin clamp bolt @ 25 lb-ft
Flywheel to Crankshaft @ 35-40 lb-ft
Clutch Cover to Flywheel @ 25 lb-ft
Water Pump bolts @ 25 lb-ft
Manifold nuts @ 25 lb-ft

Camshaft nut @ 100 lb-ft
Crankshaft nut @ 100 lb-ft
Camshaft nut @ 100 lb-ft
Crankshaft nut @ 100 lb-ft
Valve Cover @ 5-10 lb-ft for the 6 screws. If only the two grommets these will need to be a little more, especially if you have new grommets.

If in doubt of torque specs you can use these -

3/8" @ 35-45 lb-ft
5/16" @ 20-25 lb-ft
1/4" @ 10-12 lb-ft

Again verify torque spec from one of the Datsun Manuals first. If not listed or cannot find these numbers should be good as the E1/J13 is an undersized copy of the 1500cc found in the early MGs. I'm still looking for sequence order as I need these on my '64s E1 and will post once I find them.
