i must be tired. swear i saw this somewhere in fsm, but now can't find it. i know EM-6 has the actual tq values of 8-11 lb-ft, but can't find the sequence.

I don't recall seeing a numerical order for the plenum (maybe you're thinking of valve covers?), but there is a clear procedure for assuring good alignment when all is said and done. You need to snug the plenum down with the runners and then remove the plenum to install the fuel rail. It's toward the end of the section for timing chain installation.

I've never looked up the squence. I just start in the middle and work in circles/spirals towards the outer-most bolts. Have done it three times no problem.

I probably do more passes than typical too. I start out by using a stubby wrench and holding near the head so I don't apply much torque.

aight. musta been hallucinating--there are clear torque sequences for most things.....my backup is to do it as suggested here.yes, i did follow the alignment procedure.

at least this intake is light compared to my old cast iron v8 intakes of the late 60's cars.

I'd guess the casting is too rigid to worry about warping, plus the gap is determined by the solid metal rings inside the gaskets. Still, never hurts to use the inside-out star pattern.
