Well in a feat of genius I decided one night that I was just going to power brake with the old i30. Well I think I've killed my torque converter and I'm hating life.

So every time I'm at a dead stop and I left off the gas I get a really high pitched noise that cuts in and out. If I put the car in neutral the noise goes away. Is this something that is easily correctable or am I stuck with having to replace my torque converter? (If so does anyone have one or know of a good aftermarket one?)

Thanks,

-Sean

I don't, I'll see what I can do. However, it is a high pitch whirring noise that comes and goes.

Thanks,

No idea if the Torque Converter is your actual problem, but if it is, PM me because I have a spare one sitting around since I swapped mine to 5Spd.

Hey!

I'm still not one hundred percent sure if it's the torque converter, but I would like to try out that torque converter if you still have it.

Thanks,

-Sean

(I sent you an Email since I couldn't get the PM to work)
