Hey folks,I have removed the autobox from my VH45 engine and this evening i have to remove the torque converter/flywheel assembly and lift it onto an engine stand. Only problem is, i have never done one before and i need to do it fairly quickly as im under a time constraint.

Can anybody give me a brief walkthrough? In the 30 second i spent looking at it on saturday, i couldn't see a way to remove the coverter from the flywheel?

Cheers folks!Chris

There are 4 bolts that hold the TC to the flywheel. You'll have to spin the engine and remove the bolts. I think they are 12 or 14mm and are removed from the flywheel side. I had to cut the heads off of one because it was seized and the bolt head stripped.

No problem. Don't forget to wear some snazzy goggles if you have to grind a head off!

Haha, actually you don't. They are uncomfortable as hell.

But hey, chicks dig 'em!
