Torque converter on 95 240s????Help!

First let me start off my problem. When i take my car off for a ride on the freeway or streets......it will switch gears but when it switch to 4th gear it stalls at 65 mph and the car revs really high about 5-6 rpm.....plus it won't drive like it use to anymore.

My question is can my transmission go bad?? or is it the Torque converter?? I been reading through threads and it sounds like a Torque converter...............but my mechanic says its my transmisson....

I have mess with hondas but not nissans.......Please help!!

it might be your clutch pack slipping in your transmission. i dunno i could b wrongtry to replace the transmission fluid first and check the levels before you go and try to replace the transmission or the torque converter, because its an expensive fix.

I will do that. Do you think flushing the transmission with seafoam will might work??
