Well I'm about to have my 4th tornado in the last 2 hours come through. Talk about crazy. This last one might get me I dunno yet lol. The first one went over and shook the house and broke some trees, the other two missed but this one's coming right for me so If I don't post in like 20 minutes then my computer is in a tree somewhere on the other side of the state lol

Think we might have another round up here of storms..hopefully it wont be too bad. We had a tornado blow over our house, I thought for sure any minute like the glass would break and all. All it did was rock the house and sounded like someone trying to tear it apart. I had to go to the other end b/c my room is by all the trees and stuff.

We had only quarter size hail, thank goodness. I was afraid my sunroof would be broken. It filled the bed of my mom's truck though. I went outside and put some in a sandwich baggie for keeps. (yeah sounds stupid, but a reminder, i dunno) after it was over i ran outside. I done that before it hit and lightning struck and I ran back inside. My yard looks like a pond. lol but my friends are fine. I was worried about them as well.

i hate the news during bad weather. they make it something worse then it is just so people watch it. it's especially worse in the winter when the snow starts. As if we've never seen snow before. I can see it now. "Blizzard 2002, we accumulated a whopping 1.4" of snow last night. Do NOT leave your house unless it is an emergency..." blah blah blah

Mayhem, that's because 1.4" in KY IS a blizzard. Nobody down south knows how to drive in the snow like those of us that grew up in South Bend! Nothin' like a little lake effect baby! :D

you guys got hit down there to huh? we used to live a stones throw from the ohio river and that directly gave us some of the worst winters i've experienced, but i still managed and didn't complain. actually i kind of liked going out in it just to see if my old truck could survive another year of it.

Yeah, it came straight off of Lake Michigan. Tons o' snow. We had a lot of fun though, esp when it got us out of school.

Hey people from the South do to know how to drive on the snow! :D well some I should say b/c not every one does. I have drove on snow and I done fine. But it wasnt much that was on the roads anyways. Mainly in our driveway which is fun when it does snow. My family knows how b/c they use to live up North for just a lil while before they moved to Tennessee, back before I came along.

Don't pay me any attention, darkeagle. I'm just a ball-breaker every now and then. Such was the case here!

Just FYI, everyone around here loses their freakin' mind when it so much as rains. Stupid.

I love driving through Tennessee. Bluehairs passing me in their Caddies when I'm doing 85mph. That's cool.

What interstate are you driving on? ;) I get so pissed when driving from Franklin (south of Nashville) to Knoxville on I-40 with all the idiots putting along in the left lane, bogging traffic down for everybody.

Oh...and don't get me started on tractor trailer trucks. They should NOT be allowed to pass using the left lane (on I40) under any circumstances. Especially while climbing a damn mountain...:rolleyes

BTW - I loved the storms LOL. Aside from the devastation and destruction, I got to hear about it from my family in middle TN then experience firsthand out here. It's also been a while since I've had a good thunderstorm. Good for the soul (at least mine).

I was driving home from Columbia Ky to Louisville last night and got cought in the monsoon when I hit Elizabethtown on I-65. It was raining so hard that all you could see whas the next reflector button and some faint red tailights. It rained so hard that it took off some of the letters on some "Lousville Streets" stickers I have on either side of my car. I had the radio on and there were several warnings for many SouthCentral Kentucky Counties (Taylor, Clinton and Pulaski are a few I can remember). The neat thing about it all was watching the almost continuous lightning from behind the clouds as I drove north. It was quite a sight!

well I drive on I-40, well use to, i havent in my new car but only once. gonna get more things done before i take it back out. but i live in putnam county, i use to live in Rutherford. i was saying as an example i would rather drive down there than where i live. i have lived up here since i was 4. well total of 15years. i know every back road up here to get around traffic so it doesnt take long. but if i take the interstate i get off at sparta/algood exit.

so from my house to that is a good drive. then trade off at hwy111 and head into livingston. i can be at the mcdonalds at 7:20am every morning. i leave my house at 7am, be up the interstate less than 10mins. trade then be back McD's at that time everymorning and be in at livingstong anywhere from 7:30 to 7:35. i make good timing. :D
