Well, after babying my 2011 for the break-in, enjoying almost 4,000 miles of driving my new rogue, the Alabama tornados decided I'd had enough fun and placed my carport and a hundred yr old oak on top of it. It held up very well, so I don't think anyone needs to worry about roll overs. The roof of the car crumpled, but did not flatten, so it's safe to say, it's probably built pretty solid on the frame. And I was worried about the cvt. ;) Life has a way of setting your worries straight!

I guess that takes away the wonderful first experience of getting that first dent in the parking lot. Always wondered about those people who live on tornado alley and the car enthusiast

Sorry for your luck.

See it in the news all the time in my area of trees falling on houses too killing innocent victims. R.I.P. for all those harmed by falling trees. :frown:
From the looks of things, this Rogue didn't do to well if rear passengers were in there. But then again, it just shows the true force of nature's unpredictable wrath.

I am so sorry for your Rogue.

Is it covered by your insurance? Are you planning to buy another Rogue?

Thanks. Yes, luckily I had good insurance which pretty much covered the true value of the car, so WHEW! No, I didn't get a new Rogue : ( The only colors left around here were not the colors I wanted and they seem to be getting harder to find at the moment. I considered and test drove an xterra, but seeing the gauge fall just during the test drive scared me off. lol I knew it didn't get good gas milage, but that was not a long test drive and it went from full to below full in no time at all. So, I got a happy medium on gas mileage, with a bigger car. I got the Ford Edge 2011.

I think that tree would of done damage to a tank let alone an suv.
