Well let me first say, before i bought my altima coupe, i was stuck in the same shoes you are in right now. i just couldnt make up my mind. but it turned out the base altima coupe v6, was cheaper than a base v6 accord, and it applies to where as altima coupe with ___ packages, and accord with ___ packages, the altima still slightly runs cheaper. and to me the altima had better gadgets such as the intellikey, the push start. The overall design goes to the altima, I just never liked the accord's rear end, and the front is O.K.As for the civic, if you're looking to save some money, then civic by all means, its the cheapest of the 3. IMHO the altima is the best bang for the buck.

Oh not to mention, the VQ Engine won me over too.

And as for those "bugs" telling you the accord is better, ignore em. In the end its all on you, and which ever car you feel is better for you, and suits you, should be the winner.

Buying a car is a fairly big personal decision because of the money involved, and will be your own decision. Therefore, I can't really be much of help. But, do your homework, read the reviews and the reliability data that are out there and choose wisely.

Good luck!

i know its my choice. but i wanted the coupe first, and like u said, read reviews. They were more in honda's favor, and i was thinking maybe the ccord is better. and i have no idea were they got they numbers, but they said the accord was cheaper, HOW? when the base is almost 25, and the v6 is just around 25. Maybe i was wrong. There isnt anything bad about the ALTIMA .. and the accords front is somewhat ugly to the altima, beautiful lol. and the civic is the last min choice. If i just need the eco-car. I have a older honda, and its done great since i had it. Never really had many nissans..so this is something else.Honda salesmen were slightly nicer, Nissan..eh.. get em n go

i was also in the same situation, but i got the altima. both companies make a great car, dont get me wrong, but i think the altima is a beautiful car and with some minor mods can look just like a G35, if thats what ur looking to do. But i test drove all of the same cars you did just about 3 months ago and couldnt decide, but chose the altima and i love it and no complains from it. good luck with ur decision. Of course this forum is goin to be bias about an altima

The reasons I chose the Altima:1. CVT transmission with 6spd manual mode much better then the 5spd auto-slushbox in the Accord. I had to go automatic...if I went manual maybe I'd have chosen the Accord since the Honda gearbox feels better.2. Sportier and more involving cockpit/seating position3. The exterior of the Accord didn't give me a boner like the Altima

The Accord and A/C indeed are tight competitors. They are so similar that it comes down to personal choice. Maybe even some brand-whoring.

As for the Civic... I didn't get the 2008 SI due to social consiquences. My friends would make fun of me forever. Plus, whenever asked what kind of car I drive, I would always have to hastily add "I know but it's the SI!"

the thing is.. i had a few ppl i know, move me hondas way... the poster above.. i want that same car. Altima n code red. Now they didnt let me test the accord yet, and its larger than the altima. When i 1st seen teh alt. coupe concept, i wanted it. And still do. It was just the *keep your options open* deal that keeps me from pursing the nissan. I feel in head over heels for the civics interior *LX..BLACK..BLONDE INTERIOR..17,000. The Accord is an accord. so its gonna have its perks.. But the nissan looks better imo, and is smaller, so you cant really compare the 2. cause of the new size on teh accord. 2 many buttons on the accord interior, and the nissan has push start.. I like KEYS.. so this will be a diff experience if i get the alt..

yeah i actually had the ex black exterior/ blonde interior. and still paid 18,500. but i used to work in an acura dealership so i know the ropes and how to handle the sales people!! but i would definately go with the alt coupe over the civic. more power, better interior, the headrest in the civics are at a weird angle and kinda made my neck hurt on long car rides. all in all im sooo happy i traded in the civic for the altima. love, love, love the push button start!!!!

thats another thing.. NO KEY.. im happy / sad about that. Anyone can get in my car, and drive off, *friends who like to joke around, ride your car around the parking lot* . . . and all they need is for me to be near. lol or that key fob near... I bet they will have the option for key/no key, when they update the cars.. Also, shouldnt this year be the year the BIG TENT EVENT includes the altimas? cause they were released last year, as this years model. Or would i have to wait 2 years? 07-and-08..get it in 09.. If i get, it will be Code Red V6 OR Black, With Blonde gutz. lol

you have to be really close to your car for someone to be able to even operate the door much less get in it and start it. you pretty much have to be right in front of the buttons to operate them!!!

Just take a step back and ignore brand or history because it's not like you're comparing a Toyota and a Ford, or any good/bad analogy you like. I say this because the VQ is flat out one of the best, most reliable, best performing engines of its kind and that's no lie. You can't go wrong quality wise with either. Take a step back and look at the car, which one would you pick because that's almost what it comes down too. Every car has it's glitches or lemons, I'm sure there are people posting on some Accord site about a clutch or something…. Personally I don't have anything against my car, I'd buy it again over anything else in its price range. Whichever you decide to get, let me suggest the premium option (leather) will only add to the experience of driving a quality car.

with the key fob, my friend was standing at the passenger side door and i was at the driver side and he pushed the button to unlock the doors and nothing happened, u have to have the key right next to it, and for the car to start its the same way.

REVIEW-...ok guess what? Test drove both cars.. And.. you can see/tell a big difference. I didnt buy yet, And have yet to do so. But to tell you the truth, The altima is only looks. And dont get me wrong, im a altima lover. this isnt to bash, im sharing my experience.. The accord coupe compared to the altima coupe? um.. hands down i see why ppl choose honda. i compared them and all that jazz. . the Altima can get it on the highway, and thats about all i noticed. I may be one sided, since it was a used alti on the floor. 25+for a used white alt. coupe, cloth interior, no tech pac, a moon roof, and audio controls..v6. the accord was i think, a lil higher in price.. 4bang, moon roof, audio controls, temp readout in the info center.. the feel of the buttons..nissan needs to step their game up, I was sitting there like "the altima isnt how i thought it would be" I was mad. cause i want the altimas looks, with the accords interior.. it just boils down to honda crafted the accord better. And in the begining it was ALTIMA LOOKS BETTER, ACCORD IS UGLY.. and never a 2nd thought. But the A/C's dash felt like my dodge.. hard plastic. And thats just something i couldnt get past.. *its really a issue 4 me.*Maybe i need to look at the inside again... o yea, i got pics.. so..please dont hate me lol. i say that cause im still new, but been watching topics..reading up and such.

bump..! im movin toward the A/C.. but 1 thing.. the trunk size is smallllll! how do i go about movin 12'' subs from a recent vehicle into this lil sucker? is there anything i can do, before getting a new box cut? thats the only beef with the car... and the interior i can get over. lol
