Somehow got a little (1/2") tear in the perferated section of my passanger seat. Anyone have any luck with parts store repair kits or time to head to a pro. It looks like it is multi layered with just the top leather torn.

The leather dye used in the perforated seats is very sensitive to treatments. In a visible place like the seat bottom it is best to bite the bullet and take it to a pro. I have seen both types of repair and a diy treatment doesn't blend right and the texture is extremely hard to match and retain flexibility the bottom of the seat requires.

Looks like you had a similar problem to mine. I took my M45 to glass doctor to get the windshield replaced and the repairman had a screwdriver in his back pocket and sat in my seat. He put a good inch-long hole in the seat. needless to say, I was pissed. after haggling with him, he agreed to get it fixed.

I wanted the color to match, so I bought a nuetral-colored seat cover off of ebay (emgee parts) and took it to a local upholsterer. THe new cover was for the seat back, but the section of perforated leather was the same size as the hole-affected leather. I just had him take the new cover, take out a perforated section, and replace it for the ripped section. Cost 100 bucks and not much time. It was a whole lot cheaper than paying 1300 bucks for a brand new cover from infiniti. Plus, it matches flawlessly and I got my foam in the bottom rebuilt at no extra charge
