Torchings Coils?????

I have the Eibach Pro-Kit on my car and in the back it looks nice only about a .5 inch gap upfront though it still has like a 1.75 inch gap. I dont want to get rid of my current suspension to get coilovers because my whole suspension is new. So my question is this . . . . If I have just the bottom coil torched to lower the the front will this have a serious negative effect? or should i just have them cut?

like k-car said, give it time to settle. odd though, as usually i see the most settling in the rear of cars where there's less weight. this is the first i've heard of the front needing to settle.

Torching is literally just that. They take a torch to a coil in the spring, thus changing it's rate. Usually it involves an idiot jumping up and down on the hood to compress the spring as they heat it (watch Monster Garage). It's another rediculous way to lower a coil-spring suspension.

wouldnt that, leave u wif uneven springs, since u cant get the same xact weight person 2 jump on the hood, not 2mention softenin the spring rates
