113 for mt or cvt in 2.5130 cvt 3.5145 mt 3.5

i think im right not 100% sure

and the turboed ones go more but i dont think they have gone up to that........i think 08altima went like 145-155 i dont remember.

3.5se CVT does 135 MPH...... ive seen vids of the 2.5s doing 145 mph when the limiter was taken off

Yea i wasnt sure if it was 130 or 135 lol

w/out the limiter....its whatever the engine will take it to but wats the point after like 145 anyway theres damn near nowhere to even do that safely.....

Is there even a place to go +140mph? I have the 3.5 MT, I have taken the car up so 125mph, did not feel a let off at all. The car kept going strong. The car is also stock and the limiter has not been tampered with. Just curious, would you have to buy to change your top speed limiter? Not that I am planning on doing such things , just curious is all haha.

ya ECU tune or ECU piggy back..... and in Cali theres places where you can do that lol my brother did 175 MPH in his corvette, we did 150 MPH in my other brothers mustang and with my 3.5se CVT it feels REALLY SLOW past 120 so i only did like 130 to 135 (thought i hit 135 but didn't feel a limiter, car just felt slow so i stopped, must of been like 133 or 134 mph.... ive done 120 mph like 30 times or more

155 with nothing but an intake on factory shoes and the governor never kicked in

sorry Dangeris, I just don't believe this... no other CVT has ever reported being in the 140's let alone 150... blake's CVT reaches top speeed faster than anyone elses CVT on this forum, and he's never sen 150... I hate to do this to such a good guy, but I must be true to my princples and raise the .. ... that is until I see some proof, then I'll eat my words...

the only way I could see someone getting a 150 reading in a CVT is if they had tires on that were like .5" smaller diameter than factory... then their car would read 150 when they were doing 140

did blake not go faster because he didnt see the point in it OR the CVT just wont let him? i'd think he'd have all the limiters and restrictions off the car after all hes done so im interested to hear if the CVT transmission cant go that fast no matter what you do or what

Reason i made this thread 'cuz my boy overthere with the Supercharged GrandPrix GTP takes his up to 150+ he fuggin "PEGS" the needle!!

-after showing him the other thread, "3.5 A/C MT vs. GrandPrix GTP" he now bags on me about our LOW top speed. haha!

from my understanding, the top speed is controlled by the ECU.. the Bullydog tuner has the ability to override the ECU controlled top speed... one of the 2.5's put the entry level unit on their car, and they stated that they were indeed able to go faster than the factory top speed... we're all just waiting for the big brother to come out!
