I am in need of a new top because the one I have will not stop leaking. I am trying to decide who to get the new one from and was wondering who you guys buy from and what your experiences have been. I would like this to be as hassle-free as possible. I see the tops online top for $399. and I called the reputable top shop in town (Richmond Va) and they want $560. to install. Does this sound way out of line? Any feedback would help. Thanks,Chris.

$560 for a shop install is a good deal. In roanoke, all the shops (reputable or not) were charging by the book at around $1,000.

I ordered my top through tops online and it was a very good quality top.

Did you live in Roanoke? Any info on Maxey's top shop there?

$1,645 installed in Dallas, TX.

Labor for $560 is a good deal. I got around $700-800 just for the labor. It's from the one of the best shops in Dallas.

It's Ray's Auto Trim in Garland. Talk to Henry. 214-343-2622

You know I used to live in Arlington and there was one good shop. Not sure if he's still around because it was about 10 years ago. It's near Krispy Kreme on Cooper St. and the owner was old black guy. There's a complex filled with auto repair shops, so you should be able to find it if you ask around. I saw his work on maroon 240 vert, and it was PERFECT. My only problem is it's just too far from my house.

As far as my experience goes, Topsonline makes perfectly good tops. The real problem is whether your installer knows what they are doing.

Yeah, we talked before. I had my vert at a paint shop last time we talked, and I think you knew the guy that ran it.

Maxey's is one of the best in the Valley.
