I havnt seen many rb25's with a bottom mount. Are there 3" DP clearance issues??

the stock mani is a side mount but i think your thinking thats a bottom mount ...

at any rate you can run a 3" dp with almost any mani but you might come close to the steering rack. im running a 3" dp but it was close but i had other things influencing that.

rock the stock log mani ... if your really worried about flow then you could see if there is someone that could water hone the runners for improved/equalize the flow. im running the stock mani along with a custom spacer that allows me to use a tial 44mm wg but if for some reason i convince myself i need more results from mani, then id look at getting the water honing as i too will not spend $2k on a mani

what turbo are you running? i havnt decided between a GT30 or 35 yet. first priority is getting the power to the wheels. as right now im having traction issues in 1st and sometimes in 2nd on the stock turbo.

Same problem here... 1st gear is totally useless on my car. Second is pretty useless coming out of corners as well. The rear end just slides. What tires are you running lucky? I'm on 255/40/17's.

Lucky7 if you're looking for a tire that hooks up real well for a GOOD price, I'd suggest the Kumho MX. I run 205/50/15's (small) on my s13, on the stock wheels. I guarantee with 255/40/17's you wouldnt spin unless you really want to on the stock turbo.

In my rb20 with 230 rwhp, I would spin so bad I'd have to let out in first and second, and chirp third pretty bad. After I put these tires on I cant spin full throttle in first, not even with the bigger turbo I have now.. We'll see how they hold up at 16 psi on the new turbo though..

Get a GT35 ftw.

I can't understand how you guys are having traction issues. I'm running 255's also with my RB20 and I'm fine. VLSD or open diff? I got an R32 VLSD.

im only running 225/45/17's. not to mention, i never got an alignment, so my camber is all messed up. ive gotten 3rd to step out on me before.

i had to get new tires, so i just got those ss595's. because they are so cheap, and in 3 months, im selling those wheels and getting something wider. then i can worry about turbo upgrades.

i will probably end up with MX's or 615's on my next set of wheels.

im also planning on 450+ hp when i upgrade turbos.

stock s14 vlsd. 265/35/18 in the rear and making WELL over 300whp - it depends on if i want to use the wg boost or up the boost with the ebc. maybe you are driving like a pansey ??

Just be careful with sheering threads on bolts with bottom mount manifolds... I know a fair number of guys with SR's that have run them and ended up with instant NA cars while on track... and sometimes the road. Turbo is a lot of weight to hold in that position, so don't get one unless it has a quality V-band... and still be careful.
