I have a 2007 Nissan AltimaT 3.5 SE. The Traction Control System light comes on along with the SLIP light and stays on. The car starts moving slowly when accelerating and a noise under hood top front is heard. The Engine Service light came on before this happened and is also still on.
When I turn the car off and back on it lights go out but come back on in short order. Any ideas?

Get car run for DTCs, it's telling you something is wrong.

Yes. I know something is wrong. I did a DTC analysis and it points to needing a tune up (spark plugs changed) and fuel ejectors cleaned. I still feel there is more to the issue than these two issues but I will soon find out. Got an appointment for tune up/ejectors cleaning in a couple of days.

Could be a damaged wheel sensor or wheel sensor wire? If that's the case i would think the ABS light would also be on- since both of those systems get signal from those sensors. + others.

I'm having the same problem. Also it seems to steer oddly as well and will drag one side or the other.
I think that is the traction control causing one of the brakes to drag. I was also thinking it would be a wheel sensor, but no ABS light.
Did you get your problem fixed? If so, what was it?

Idk if this is the proper thread for this but i’m having a similar issue.

Was hearing a sound coming from rear that sounded like wheel bearings.
I was feeling lazy about doing it, so i took it to Juan because its supposed to be simple and light work. Well, after he finished, i get down the road and i seee these 2 lights on. I figured they would disappear eventually but they never did. I then took it to a local Jiffy Lube and had them do the rear brakes and inspect to make sure ol’ boy forgot to plug something in. The ppls at Jiffy Lube said everything looks normal.
Not that this part matters, i later changed the 2 shocks in the back and was successful; lights still on. Could Juan have done something accidently that cause these lights to come on?? I shlda known better knowing this car is fragile, but meh!!

I’m just hoping i can fix this thing without spending a gang of money on it..

Do I need to start a new thread due to age of this one??

Anywho, I took wheels off and pulled out the sensors to wipe them. There was a bunch of dirt on both of them back there.. Clean it and blew some air in the hole to get any dirt out. The light is still on. Anyone have an idea how I can narrow my search? Spoke to someone else, and they told me to ignore it because I don't need ABS since I'm in TX.. lol..
Any guidance here would be appreciated.

Thank You.

If you have a lit MIL along with the ABS/Slip, it's probably from the engine. Most Nissan ABS Units throw a C1130 code when the ECM stops broadcasting the engine speed, so when the engine has a problem, it often lights all three warnings at once. If you have a brake warning along with it, your brake fluid is probably low. If there's no MIL or brake, get the ABS scanned at your local parts store, that will point you to which wheel has the problem.

FYI -- My issue was resolved due to a bad Speed Sensor... Replaced both rears.
