Recenlty on foreign 240 sites, I have been seeing this part, (located under the front strut bar):

Does anyone in the US do this? I haven't even found anything in the forums about it. I assume it helps to prevent shaking in the chassis from excessive torque of the engine??

I suspect that works somewhat like the solid nismo motor mounts in that it allows torque to be better transferred to the wheels, but, of course, it looks a lot cooler than solid mounts that are under the motor out of sight :cool:

Yeah i saw that on the garage pad2y website. They said that they are to stop the engine from excessive movement.

man screw the torque damper the babelfish page has replacement 5 lug hubs, anyone get these?? That would be such a simple alternative to the normall way.

richard tang (JDM RICE) has that torque damper. Probably going to be one of my first "suspension" mods.

And wayne @ phase2 sells or is going to sell the 5 lug hubs very soon. I had just barely heard they existed when he was talking about them.

to me it looks like someone just added a piece of plastic to then eingine. I'm sure its much more useful than thus but that was my first impression

i can see one day that some one is going to pull real hard at the line and bust off the damper. :rolleyes
