I tried searching, but no luck...

We did the neutral safety switch jump/override, and the car runs and drives, but the top won't go up...anything we're missing?

This is the answer. If this doesn't work, man... I don't know what to do. Mine didn't work after the swap, but it worked right after I wired Brown/Yellow wire. I took my center console out, so quarter window switch was not plugged in. Guess what? My quarter windows didn't go down with the top because the switch needs to be plugged in to complete the circuit. In a same sense, your turn signals don't work if you unplug emergency light switch.

No doubt. Wiring worked like a charm following his directions. Everything worked as it should.

The funny thing is I'm gonna be redoing that method soon so you wire it up at the dash plug. It's to make it possible to retain cruise control for those that want it.

Sweet...

My silvert was a total hackjob due to the condition it was in when I received it. When she goes in for paint, It's going to be completely bare. I plan on swapping the entire electrical system from my wrecked vert and would like to retain the cruise control.

It'll make my life easier to have a write-up to follow for re-wiring the 5-speed swap.

I can't remember the wire colors off hand, but you make a jump at the dash plug. The dash switch gets its power from the inhibitor plug, so you just wire it up to something that has uninterrupted power. Preferably something on an ignition switch so the top can only be put up/down when the car is on.

Then all you do is jump the drive wire at the inhibitor plug like we've been doing for the park circuit. That way the ATCU thinks you're in drive and the cruise will work. The problem right now is that if the ATCU thinks it's in park, the cruise defaults to off. Even if you have the drive circuit powered at the same time.

Years ago, someone used a rocker switch to switch the ATCU between park and drive, but it required popping the hood to do because he wired it at the inhibitor plug.

We're going to be finishing up a vert swap for one of my good friends, so I'll be sure to snap shots of my dash wiring.

Like I hinted at in my last post, my vert is going to be completely stripped down at the end of this season (maybe sooner - who knows what the future holds) so I'll have EVERYTHING torn apart for paint, rewiring, and lots of swappage. FSM FTW.

I say this to say, hey, if you forget anything, I'll be right behind you to catch what you don't.

mine is currently stripped of chassis harness aswell. i'm probably going to go painless, i don't want any wires to be seen as much as possible. also, doing away with ac, heat, radio, cruise, wiper squirters.
