I was just looking at a post on the general chat fourm about the cut off on the ka. Mine used to cut off at 118. So my question is can an sr run faster than 118 and if so how do you cut the govener off without cutting the transmission sensor. How fast have you guys gottten your sr's up to?Scott

I got rid of the governor on the SR by disconnecting the sensor that runs from the transmission to the ECU. Of course it took out the speedo too.

With my KA24DE I've been 132mph. With My SR I've gone 163mph (and still climbed). I never had a speed cut on either motors to begin with. I have no clue why, but I am glad it doesn't happen to me because I peg 120+ all the time on the freeway.

I hit 120 in fourth then the governer comes on. But it keeps me in check. I don't need to go faster than 120 unless I was on the salt flats.

I was just under 7k. rpm.A friend of mine did 270-275km/h and hit the rev limiter.

euro models also have the 3.6 final drive ratio and auto models have 3.9 final drive.

engine temps were normal but its was cold outside(like 90% of the time here)
