Sorry to be snappy I was having a bad day earlier, but that's no excuse . When I got up to about 155 it was slow going to 160 compared to how fast you get up to 155 and once I hit 160 my foot was on the floor and it just hovered there, but I didn't hold it long because of the speed. The car feels very light at that speed and I think that even if you can get the Z to go faster you'd need some really good downforce to keep it down and not feeling as though you're about to take off the road and start flying. As we all know we shouldn't be doing this on the street, but if you do make sure you have a long straight road with as few dips, bumps and such as possible and no one else around just in case something goes wrong.

I guess you beat that person in your imagination because there is no such thing as an A4 3.2T...

The new TTRS (2009) has 340hp from a 2,5 litre (which will be easy to quickly mod with a slight tune), and a 0-60 time of 4,5 - 4,8. It'll smoke the 370Z Plus: 4 wheel drive.
Ah... I hadn't heard of the RS until now. I was thinking of base TT and the TTS.

Dang Richie don’t tell me you side tracked another good thread........

But to stay on point ive gone about 150 give or take, it defiantly seemed like it had more to give too, but thanks for all the great responses they easily answered my questions about the top speed and what a none governed Z is actually capable of. Actually part of why I was curious was related to all the talk lately about 3.9 final drives and that they take away from your top speed, pretty much what I was thinking to myself was if this even would really matter to a person who still had a governor on their car because even if it does take away from your top speed if this amount taken still left the cars true abilities at or above 155 ish no change should really even be noticed unless the governor is taken off, anyone have any insight into this thought?

It's either an A4 2.0T or an A4 3.2. That's it.

I own a 2007 350Z. Completely stock. The fastest I have gone in it is 160MPH. I didnt have my digital speedometer on but once it hit 160 on the analog speedometer, you can still feel it pulling. So its definitely capable of more than 160MPH stock.

177mph 08 350z, I had a friend with some software edit the top speed limit and went on a top speed run. GPS verified. It felt solid and it could've gone faster, but started to run out of road.

Yeah...I think we're done with this thread.

The last thing we need to hear about is someone out to reach a number and finding a tree, bridge abutment, another driver instead.
