What do the Gs cut out at? I have a 03 sedan but I am guessing they are all the same???

I don't see many chips for these cars, what are poeple doing to get past the max?

Also, just for fun, post your max speed. I made it to 125 and ran out of road.

If you have an industrial area you can find some nice long private property that is unguarded on the weekend.

I know of several warehouses in west Phoenix that have long enough private roads to get pretty close to top speed.

I've heard 160mph is top too unless chip or new ECU...

As far as my G's top speed so far I hit 156mph and still had some left...Need to find some better roads/tracks.

highest top speed ever was on a Busa which was 192-195mph (was vibrating like crazy haha)

Highest in a car was in a Porsche the last time I was in Germany and we did 288km/h which is right about 179mph. Grr! someday I'll break 200mph

After trip the green light at the end of the 1/4 mile I stay on it to about 130 MPH and take the last exit to the pits. The guy running the drags 'talked' to me about breaking earlier last time.

I'd really like to go out to Phoenix International Raceway and run on their banked oval. I bet I could hit 160 mph out there.

The speed limiter might have something to do with you being in Canada and the other X's complaining are in the US?

If your going to do a top speed run make sure your tires are at least WR rated and you have them inflated past 35 PSI, 38-40 PSI would be better.

and yes that is the one that i beat in the video.

..g35sedanlover..this has been beet to death with a stick. about why some g35's can go faster than others. i called dealers and HQ and no simple answer. one tech said 150. but he wouldnt recommend going that fast. when i told him that i top out at 130 he had no answer. other said that infiniti has no concrete answer available about is. aka they dont know and dont care to inform us the people who give them tens of thousands of dollars. BS yah i had to.

The Hemi Ram I owned previously had a speed limiter at 107 MPH BUT if you turned the key to start and held it you could go as fast as you wanted? How that for crazy!!

My speedo is off about 5mph at 80 (Tire size) 275 40 19's The 19s with the 275's are just as a little taller than as the 235 50 17 That come with the car. So at 162 151 is about right...

Oh and my Tom Tom is Perfect lol

I hate to be the one to spoil the party & you can call me an old farht if you want to, but you guys are playing with fire.

In a split second your party can end with possible jail time, huge fines, costs for lawyers loss of job etc.

At least most of these guys live far away from me but I'd still hate to read about someone in deep do do for doing 150 mph & possibly killing someone.

Here in the east there isn't enough private property to get a vehicle up to those speeds.

Out here we have a lot of warehouses with long concrete private drives that end up at a loading dock. If you start at the loading dock end you can hit 130mph easy before you are close to leave private property.

I know of one spot where there are 3 long warehouses in a row that share an undivided parking lot in front. I could easily do some top speed runs there on a weekend morning.

I'm not sure what kind of trouble you could get into racing in a parking lot by yourself? Probably just trespass??

I can do 100 in my work parking lot when its completely empty on the weekends and crack of dawn on weekdays.

I do my 1/4 mile practice runs at work with my boss (company VP) running a track stop watch in the seat next to me

With the stop watch my 0-60 is 5.0 seconds based on my track times at Speedworld its 5.2 seconds to 60. I need to get a 13.6 slip from the track, that converts to 4.8 seconds to 60mph

I've gotten real close to topping out my G...

I got an 06 G35 Coupe (black), and I hit about 147mph giver or take trying to catch a ricer, and I think the 06 G Coupe tops out at 153mph

Now, before you laugh... I gave the ricer about a 35 second head start on the highway... but I caught and destroyed him >=)

06 G35 coupe 5AT, stopped pulling at 140mph. Felt like the computer stopped it. Still had plenty of RPM left, and powered its way right up until it stopped climing.

I have a 2007 G35s sedan. I took mine to 142 mph. I use Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires rated 200+. I had more but I didn't need to because the Charger that was trying to keep up..... gave up... I have an awesome dash cam of it..
