Some have some have gone beyond w/ a removed governor.

The 1994 Q45 should be able to go 155mph (governed).A removed governor will get you to faster.

A unidentified member of this club driving a slightly modded ( chip) Q45 has once been clocked at 180 mph by the Florida Hiway Patrol....

VVT, surprisingly good aerodynamics and a (chipped) redline of 7300 make it possible.

172 was what a guy did with unknown mods at homestead International speedway. This was with a stock type tire, not a V or Z rating tire. If you ask me, thats damned fast. I have not been above 151 in an automobile. (That is a street registered car) Even then, it was a 94 Corvette and It drove like it was on "ice skate blades" with VR type tires.

My well-used 1994 Q has seen several spurts to 120, 130, and once to 140, and it felt like about 85. Still in 3rd gear. No where near red line. I was late to church. Roads were relatively clear at 6:30 AM, but I was closing on some traffic, and did not want to chance a little-old-lady lane change in front of me.

I have 17" wheels, a FSTB, new brakes, Z tires, and everything was recently balanced, but the shocks are original, and that is just too fast for roads shared with other drivers.

I have no doubt 155 MPH is achievable, in stock formation.

i've hit 130 with ease. was on a deserted country road, a little scary. anything could've jumped out! i backed off.

i think the rpm's were at about 5000 and still climbing VERY strong. didn't seem like it would be any problem to hit the governed 155.

We found the best track slut ever. You might recognize this car as the Q45 sold in our market, but this one has a RB26DETT under the hood.

It's definitely not a G50 Q45. This was posted previously and identified as a JDM (Cefiro?) only car.

it's an A31 Cefrio, RWD with RB series motors, it's also available in AWD i think. Seems SCC should stick to talking about compact cars.
