So you're tellin me that no one has gone over 125-130 in their 240's? i thought they could do better than that with all these people with claims of ridiculous hp ratings...I am actually wanting to know some of the top speeds for another purpose, (which is not street racing) for some racing i plan on doing. but if 120 is all you guys have then i have got some work to do...

many 240's are tuned for low end torque, you would be hard pressed to find anyone that wants to be able to hit 150 or 170

but its easy enough to design a motor to do that.

big Laggy turbo, tall gear ratio on the differential.

I've only been in the 120-130 range. However, local police have cited 3 vehicles recently @ 511, 524, 611mph (NOT JK!!) I work in Traffic Court and have seen these citations!

They really drove that fast on a public street/road?

Speeding tickets blow balls and ruin liscense privelages, remember that. You can go to jail for speeding, and lose your car. Street racing, is also a bad one.

75-80 MPH on a straight road... scariest moment of my life lol. As I was being a dumbass going that fast in a 35MPH zone, some lady pulled left turn out of her *** and I almost rammed into her... gonna keep it on the track from now

my fastest in my 240 was when i got to drive it the only day ive ever drove it n it was 55mph the fastest ive ever gone was 130mph on the way to my house cuz i was angry but the road to my house is deserted 75% of the time n its a highway

Hahah, you guys and not having balls. "I didn't want to go past 100 cause it's fast!" I've been 115 in a VW Beetle while my dad was driving. We were cruising no problem, it hardly seemed like we were moving because there was a RSX next to us the whole way.

on the other hand, im a junkie sometimes. when i had my 1992 240sx, i cut the limiter wire at the ECU to go past the 1st limiter and it allowed me to hit that popular 125/130 mark. but there was another limiter up around there i think it was a rev limiter. anyway it sucked.

240s are just geared way too low for any good top speeds. ive always dreamed of a lower ratio rear end to get higher top speeds and better gas mileage. stock is 3.9 or 4.1 im pretty sure... so around 3.5 would be great... but it would make the quarter mile and all around acceleration slower so forget it

besides the 240, ive had my katana 750 up at the 160 mark on the speedo, which is probly really only around 150, but still its a rush.

oh and my nissan truck with the ka in it, i bury it often lol the needle stops at around 110 or 115, but the truck keeps building RPMs so im guessing it tops out around where a stock 240 does.

oh yea, and my old automatic naturall aspirated Z32 300zx, i had up around 130 or 140. but honestly i didnt trust that thing as much as my 240s. although it was very fuggin comfy up around that speed. way more comfy than anything else i topped out

gsx eclispe tons of mods including garret gt12 turbo and built engine 160mph probably not accurate but thats what the gauge said, 2003 gsxr600 170mph downhill that was almost a mess all over the road it rattled really bad , 2003 gsxr1000 full yosh exhaust power commander and tre, 189mph and i still had about 6000rpms left (2003 gsxr 1000 is FOR SALE), 1991 240 sx ka24de 110 got there suprising quick but still slow as hell

top of 5th gear in the 240. don't really need to go any faster than that on most race tracks either.

my stock kouki could go a lil over the speedometer limit (120) so id say 125 mph

120 in my s14dunno in my s13, speedo stops at 115 (although it kept going)

and at least 120 in my friend's evo 9 up in massachusetts. that car has such a ridiculously smooth ride at any speed

Hit a whopping 100mph in my s13, 183mph on my old gsx-r 750, 205mph on my friends gsx-r 1000.

I added a switch to my speedo sensor and installed it in my center console so that when i hit 120 on my redtop i can shoot past where the needle ends by the flick of a switch, my guess is i hit about 135-140. my friends 450hp evo built with a bunch of buscher racing **** brought us to about 180 on a main street at 1 a.m.. That was one of the fastest accelrating cars ive ever been in other than a 9 second 69 camaro which i would trade my 240 for any day as much as i hate to say it

A sr20det with 5 speed transmission and stock 4.08 240sx rear end yeilds 160mph at 7500rpms. Provided you have the stock wheel/tire size.
