top speed 115

ok quick quesion my top speed is 115 why? after 115 the niddle just bounces.. (cvt)........ besides that i would like to note that i just istalled the nismo cat back and i think it sucks

Not sure about the whole top speed thing, but I just installed the Nismo on my 3.5L and I Love the Sound. Not annoying or overly loud, a nice deep rumble.

i agreed ...but proformance wise nothin and the stock pipes are biger then the nismo ... i think its just for all the money i was expecting more

I was expecting the pipes to be a little bigger too, but I love the stealthier look and sound. I think all catbacks are mostly for sound and looks anyways. Prob. 2-3 Horsepower.

i think the dealership prolly re-badged your car as a 3.5 and it's really a 2.5s. i've never heard of a 3.5 govern at 115. if true, take it in and tell them to fix it pronto!

i think the cvt governs lower than the 6mt, but i've hit 150ish in my 6mt

ok the 2.5 tops at 115ish really 113 but the 3.5 is i believe 130 or 135 but u should def hit atleast 130 ur spped rating for your tires is better thats wat determines the top speed bc trust me i hate it i only just switch into 4th at 80 n top in 5th i hate it cant wait for the ecu but u def should b goin faster ask the dealer but idk if thats a good idea lol

are you sure all the waybecause there is all the way...then if feels like it stops there but if you push harder there is an overdrive button. i think you might have stopped just shy of pushing this button and thats why you couldn't go any faster

yeah you 6MT'ers top out at 150, the CVT tops out at 130:( ... until they come out with an ECU reflash that is!

i'm guessing you have the 3.5SL, since it comes with 16" wheels and T rated tires....thats why you cant go any faster

You mean a kickdown switch. Thats the end of pedal switch. What it does is shift the cvt or automatic to a lower gear, giving you better acceleration and higher rpm's. It's like downshifting to pass someone. the rpm's go up and you get better acceleration in the lower gear. as soon as you take your foot off it it goes back into cvt.

what packages are with your car...in the 3rd gens if you had leather you had a 115 limiter

My car tops out at 130/135 and i have 3.5 with tec package. I have the NISMO catback and i love the sound, once it breaks in itll be even better! plus i think the tips are bigger than stock. 2-3" for stock and 4" for the nismo if i recall correctly. personally i love the look and sleakness/class it has. Stillen is wicked nice tho.

bro, no ones attacking you, but if you really have a 3.5 and you top out at 115, balls to the wall, pedal mashed, then you have a problem, end of story.

maybe nissan accidentally put a 2.5 govener instead of a 3.5? take a pic of the signals on the mirrors just to make sure you really have a 3.5. The badge and rims can easily be replaced.

the speed limiter is not an extra module in the system, its flashed into the ecu, and they cant just put a 2.5 ecu in a 3.5 car, it just wont run
