I don't anything about Top Secret coilovers, or even whether they actually make their own or not.

Kei Office = JIC (which is a good thing)

What model coilovers specifically?

If you're looking for big money coilovers, you might also want to think about Ohlins and Zeal (specifically the function B6).

Fix your broke stuff. Get some seat time and practice stock, then get suspension and so on.

that is the most obscure set of coilovers to choose from...wow...

do you know how incredibly expensive those are in comparison to most coilovers, as well as "advanced" for a new driver?

and what happened to your wrecked car? you do realize you HAVE to fix it...if your radiator busted, then a new one wont fit in the old spot...

Fix the broken stuff man. You don't want to drive around with no bumper, a busted headlight, and a busted radiator. Those are all useful things, and if you look in the right places, you can get it all for under $3k.

Use the busted radiator to your advantage and get an upgrade.

Whiners:

When you dont answer a mans question and make snide remarks your post will be deleted , if I catch it in time.

Simple as that.

I expected this childishness from "Chunki" but am saddened to see some of our more mature members fall into that "poor me I got moderated" midset. Come on guys its not so hard. Be mature and if you dont have a good answer to a mans post dont answer it.

Kei Office = JIC? Not quite sure what that means but they are 2 completely different companies with different products.

Are they? I was under the impression that JIC manufactured Kei Office's products. I mean, they aren't just rebadged FLT-A2s or something, but insomuch as I understand, the Kei Office coilovers (and ONLY the coilovers, not their other products) are designed to certain specifications by Kei Office and then actually built, on contract, by JIC.

I mean I could be wrong, but I thought I had heard this a couple of places. I know you actually sell the things though, so you probably know better than I do.

If you're going to using your car for drifting, I'd seriously keep the KA. No sense making a nice swap to a SR20 if you're just going to abuse it with getting sideways. Check out the search function and look at some of the glorious KA-T setups on this site, I know there is about a billion =)

As far as your suspension goes, you may just want to do some springs first, to get a lower stance on your vehicle and get a better feel for your ride. Dropping 2k+ on some coils is a pretty hefty drop on something you are fairly new to.

Kei Office does not outsource their production to JIC. They have their own facilities in Japan. There are a lot of myths about Kei Office that we are in the process of dispelling.

that alone tells me that you might want to spend the money on more seat time than expensive parts that you will not be able to exploit properly or fully.

honestly, if you have 3k to spend...go to a professional driving school...that'll help you in more ways that you could imagine, for both drift and grip driving.

After that, a set of TEIN or other good quality resonably priced coilovers (KTS also comes to mind) will allow you two things:-money left over to fix all the stuff you break drifting-time to learn how to adjust a coilover before emptying your wallet into something you may not be able to fully use/understand..

If you're still hell bent on top-of-the-line coilovers, Kei Office wins IMO over top secret, despite my own personal prefernce for TS stuff.

I'd also check into Cusco Zer-2R and APexi-i N1 Pro coilovers....both are phenominal.
