ok so iv decided im just going to go with a t3/to4b, rather than a gt28r, just alot more potential. anyways, im trying to decide on what to do for a manifold. as of now it seems like my options are buy a log manifold kit and tack it up myself then have someone local (i know a guy) tig weld it all. or some people have been saying go ssac. but is anyone succesfully running the ssac t3/t4 top mount? from the few threads i saw concerning them seemed like no one got them to fit. i have an s13, lhd.

any other manifold suggestions wold help too

If you're not looking for extreme power, I would just go with a homemade log manifold. They're cheap enough to put together, and they're durable. The SSauto is too iffy, and very inconsistent in quality. I myself had one, and it would have fit great if my car was rhd and I didn't have power steering.

Somehow Dee got that one to fit for one of his customers, which gives you some hope. But with a log manifold, you'll be able to fit everything just where you want it. That, or you could have Jon at Forced Fab make you a tubular manifold like he did for his evo 8 turbo.

yea the ssac one would be alot easy, and i would have it braced, but i dont see it fitting well and dont fell like modding a manifold. the manifold made for the evo turbo was like a log type manifold made from tubular pipe correct? im looking to get one of those diy kits that wer eon ebay for a while, its a member here that was selling them.

my power goal would be like 350hp max

I put together 2 90 degree elbows, 2 T's, and a head flange for a total of about $70. Then add whatever flange you're using, and a wastegate flange and it comes out to be about $110. That was stainless steel parts too.

Great quality parts for really good prices. I used 1 1/2" diameter schedule 40 piping. It's 304L ss. You'll have to trim the T's down and a little of the elbows to get it to where it fits. I'm running a garrett t3/t04e(hopefully changing to a turbonetics soon). Should be laying down around the 350-375whp once finish off the engine management and get myself some bigger injectors.

the TO4E is a better compressor housing and wheel for a T3/T4 combo, flows more and will make more power/more efficent.

dee said he ran that and it was a little big, and said the to4b would be better. i want as little lag as possible but still have a turbo i can take up to like 350-400 hp in the coming years.

any recomendations on what wheels i should run? im getting a garrett turbo and have the opion of wheels stage 1 to 3

Stage 3. 360 bearings too if it's an option.

i talked with the people from turbonetics for about an hour and they eventually reccomended me to the stage 2 turbine. then again that was for my specific application. i also am using a baby .48 ar turbine housing :-) btw, this is on my t3/to4b and i don't know if my turbo is good to 400whp either. however i do know it's good to about mid 300's whp. I THINK.

I got 318.5whp on a T3/T04B stage 1 with a .60 front housing and .63 rear housing. The car spooled-up full boost at or around 3800rpm and that was using a stock manifold with a T3 flange mated to it. I beat-up some nasty cars with this combo which ultimately nearly cost me my life whilst racing on the highway. If your budget is low and you're notinterested in too much lag, then this turbo is the shiz-nit. But if you want to do 360+whp without pissing off the turbo, then you may want to consider a T3/t04E option.
